i’m a: performance maker
interdisciplinary artist
body in space
Hello - I’m Clara (they/she) & I’m an artist working across performance & other sundry disciplines.
I work in partnership with Ben Kulvichit as experimental performance duo Emergency Chorus (‘Beguiling and enchanting work‘, The Guardian). I also collaborate on other projects in a few different ways: dramaturg, performer, outside eye, writer.
I want the things I make to feel searching, unpredictable, multiple.
The formal bit: I’ve made & shown work with & at places including Warwick Arts Centre, New Diorama, Bristol Old Vic, Cambridge Junction, The North Wall, Camden People’s Theatre & The Yard. Currently based between Bristol & London.
I’ve taught and run workshops at places including Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Warwick University, Bedales School, and am currently teaching on The Wardrobe Ensemble’s theatre-making BA at Bristol School of Acting.
I’m a proud member of Interval Artist Collective. We share knowledge and resources including an office and rehearsal space at The Exchange, Corn Street (above St Nick's Market).
I’m very interested in collaborating across mediums & forms - get in touch if you’d like to talk!
